Lotus at Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary

Lotus students and staff visited Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary during the first week of school as a part of the initial orientation program. At the refuge, students learned to read a map in order to navigate the trail system. The beautiful day and lovely setting allowed students and staff to enjoy time together outside the classroom as they identified birds from behind the bird blind and hiked together to an overlook along the Delaware River.

Lotus Volunteers

The Lotus School is committed to service learning as part of our broader curriculum. In the following photos, Lotus students are helping to load and unload a large trailer for the St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Ottsville, PA. Twice a year we help the church community prepare for their Rummage and Bake Sale. It will be held October 12, 13, 14, opening at 9am.

Guitar Ensemble

Students learn to play in a guitar ensemble as part of a music workshop day with Vic Rawlings. Thanks!
