The outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) may be stressful for people. Fear and anxiety about a disease can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Coping with stress will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger. Everyone reacts differently to stressful situations. How you respond to the outbreak can depend on your background, the things that make you different from other people, and  the community you live in. Lost River Caverns Trip

The Lotus School took an afternoon trip to Lost River Caverns in Hellertown, PA to tour the cave and learn about the local history of the site. We enjoyed seeing the natural mineral formations inside the cave like stalactites, stalagmites, columns, rimstone, and flowstone. Our guide’s grandfather purchased the land soon after the limestone cave was discovered by miners. Successive generations built a mineral and lapidary business, as well as a museum area comprised of geologic artifacts, hunting equipment and trophies, and other interesting artifacts. Experiencing…
